Todd Michael Dilla, 47, of Hibbing, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2019 near Floodwood.  Private family services are planned for Saturday, July 20, 2019.  Military Honors will be accorded by the Mid-Range Honor Guard.  Arrangements are with Range Funeral Home in Hibbing.

He received his honorable discharge in 1998. He moved back to Duluth and studied to be a millwright at Lake Superior College. Todd spent his career in the Duluth area working as a millwright and eventually as a truck driver. He was known for his strong work ethic and willingness to help anyone that needed a hand.

Todd enjoyed spending time with family and friends at Sturgeon Lake, the outdoors, camping, pontooning, and a hot sauna. “Dillard” was the life of the party and usually made his guests wince with the first sip of their cocktail. He and his dog Jackson were inseparable and he usually accompanied him on his long haul trucking trips.

Survivors include his parents, Bob and Peggy Dilla of Hibbing; former wife, Carla (Mercier) Dilla of Cloquet; son, Alex Mercier; daughter, Megan Mercier. His brother, Troy and sister-in-law Sandie; two nieces, Peyton & Sydney and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He will be sorely missed, but not forgotten.

Todd. My heart aches with the loss of one of the Three Amegos. Your the best friend ANYONE could ask for You would help anyone that needed it. You would give anyone the shirt off you back. Whenever I needed you you were always there for me. I just wish the last time we talked it would not have been the last. We went through some tough times together but always stuck together.
