Conrad Wayne Engelstad

Conrad Engelstad, 87, of Hibbing, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Fairview Range Medical Center in Hibbing.

Conrad was born December 21, 1936 in Warren, MN to Bernard and Pearl (Olbeckson) Engelstad. He moved to the Iron Range in the 1950's. He was united in marriage to June Patricia Angellar on May 12, 1957. The family made their home on the Iron Range. Conrad worked in construction his whole life. He was hardworking, loved yardwork, and he loved playing cards, especially smear.

Conrad is survived by his three sons: Joe (Nancy) Skerjance, Ronald (Shirley) Engelstad, and Bill (Gina) Engelstad, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Janice Engelstad.

He was preceded in death by his wife, June; children: John, Marie, Barbara Jo, and Buddy; six brothers: Pete, Charles, Sam, Russ, Stub, and Leland; and one sister, Mae.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at the First Lutheran Church in Hibbing at 11:00 am with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. Pastor John Dietz will officiate. Burial will be at the Maple Hill Cemetery at 12:00 pm.
