Mary “Jane” Jorgenson, 87, of Eveleth, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Northland Village in Buhl. A memorial service will be held Thursday, November 8, 2018 at United in Christ Lutheran Church in Eveleth at 11:00 am with visitation one-hour prior. Pastor John Dietz will officiate. Mary Jane Jorgenson was born December 24, 1930, the oldest of 12 children, to Alec and Anna Jagol. She attended school in Angus, MN.  On December 30, 1950, she was united in marriage to George Hillman Jorgenson in Warren MN. She lived in Utah until 1953, then moved to the Iron Range where she lived for the rest of her years.

Jane enjoyed teaching, visiting friends and relatives, Polkafests, dancing, gardening, and she especially loved spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, David (Nanci) Jorgenson of Eveleth; grandchildren, David (Star) Jorgenson of Bovey, Lucas (Amy) Jorgenson of Elk River, Joe (Melissa) Jorgenson of Norwalk, IA, and Angie (Phil) Miskovich of Coleraine; great grandchildren, Anna, Meko, Bodie, Emme, Layla, Will, and Janie; brother: Edward (Arlene) Jagol of St. Hilaire; sisters, Alice (Ed) Nephew of Macintosh, Joyce (Orlin) Lerol of Thief River Falls, Evie Kalsnes of Forest Lake, Arlene Tholkes of Columbia Heights, Donna Holmes of Biwabik, and Sandy (Greg) Johnson of Warren; and numerous nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her husband, George; parents; brothers, Alvin, Joe, and Duane; sister, Rosie; and several brothers and sisters-in-law

    My sincere sympathy to the family of Jane. My mom, Andrine Rozinka lived down the hall from Jane at Lincoln Place and I got to know her when I stopped to see my mom. May she rest in peace.
