Arline Louise (VanEest) Frantsi

Arline Louise (VanEest) Frantsi, 89, of Waconia, MN passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home.

Arline was born January 7, 1933 in Illinois.  She graduated from West High School in Minneapolis and shortly thereafter met her future husband Ernest Frantsi on a blind date.  They married in 1953 and moved to Iron, MN (Ernie’s hometown) and had five children.  She was primarily a homemaker as the family moved to Maplewood, MN, then to Hudson, WI and then to St. Paul, MN.  She and Ernie returned to the family homestead in Iron upon retirement.  During all that time she was always active in church activities, particularly choir as she loved to sing and had a beautiful soprano voice.

Arline was preceded in death by her mother and her husband Ernie.

She is survived by her children:  Susan (Andrew) Scholberg of Gainesville, FL; David (Leanne) Frantsi of Maplewood, MN; Wiliam (Terry) Frantsi of Blaine, MN; Janice (Jeff) Starn of Waconia, MN and Gail (Roger) Bernards of Goshen, CT; 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

There will be a family gathering at a later date.
