Lorrayne Florence Sieckert, 96, of Virginia died peacefully September 14th, 2021. Lorrayne was born April 24, 1925 in Northome, MN to Joseph C. Storzbach “Dodie” and Amanda (Krienitz) Storzbach. She was a graduate of Northome High School & attended college in Brainerd, MN, and became certified to teach people how to read.

She married Benjamin Sieckert in Osseo, MN in 1947 and made their home in Wayzata, until moving to Virginia, MN in 1964.

Lorrayne was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was active in her Church bible studies and prayer group. Saying the rosary was very important to her.

Lorrayne had multiple employment in her life. She worked for Boeing’s during WWII; she built Kieth’s first tackle box while working at UMCO and enjoyed a variety of sales positions, her proudest being at the Cedar Hutch. She volunteered at Meals-on-wheels.

Lorrayne enjoyed reading, in particular biographies. She had a passion from health to architecture and loved cooking, finding recipes on-line & in magazines, quilting, sewing, her rose garden, making stationary from dried flowers, and her grand & great-grandchildren. Her mind was very sharp, and she had a wonderful sense of humor. She lived a very full life!

Lorrayne was preceded in death by her parents, Dodie and Amanda; husband, Benjamin; daughter, Kathleen Nelimark; and grandson, Joshua Benjamin Sieckert.

She is survived by her son, Kieth Sieckert; and daughters: Nancy (Timothy) Norman, Teresa Sieckert, Benita (Fran) Netteberg, and Becky Masters; 11 grandchildren: David (May Yang) Nelimark, Brian (Kimberly) Nelimark, Laura (Jeff) Maurer, Paul (Sue) Norman, Nicole (Nick) Ouke, Benjamin (Sarah) Norman, Jacob (Shanda) Norman, Dayna Netteberg, Anna Netteberg, Danielle Masters, and Mitchell Masters; 19 great grandchildren: Robert Anze Nelimark, Asher Kieth Nelimark, Joey Vue, Kaylin Vue, Benjamin Nelimark, Jack Nelimark, Sienna Maurer, Olivia Maurer, Natalie Norman, Claire Norman, Gavin Norman, Joseph Ouke, Thomas Ouke, Eleanor Ouke, Lucas Ouke, Abigail Norman, Finley Norman, Lyrik Norman, and Emma Masters.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 18th at Holy Spirit Church in Virginia with Rev. Fr. Brandon Moravitz as celebrant. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Virginia. Arrangements are with Range Funeral Home of Virginia.
