Jeff Oakgrove Sr., 51, of Hibbing, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2018, in Hibbing. A wake will begin on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at 7:00 pm at Range Funeral Home in Hibbing, concluding with a service at 10:00 am on Monday, July 30th at the funeral home. Arrangements are with Range Funeral Home in Hibbing.

Jeff was born in Minneapolis, MN on March 18th, 1967 to Johnson and Lois Oakgrove.

He was preceded in death by both parents; brothers, Michael Smith and Milton Carlson.

Jeff will be dearly missed by his wife, Alexis Oakgrove; sons, Jeff Jr. Oakgrove and Jack Cutbank; daughters, Lorralea Chosa and Ricki Boswell; grandchildren, Kyah Oakgrove , Sage and Shadow Seeleye , Ellie Cutbank , Kynzlee and Elissa Greenwood; brothers, Gary (Debbie) Smith, Darrell Carlson, Leon (Martice ) Carlson and John Oakgrove; sisters, LoAnn (Jack) Herold, Wanda (Darwin) Olson and Virginia (David) Erlandson; special niece, Amanda Olson; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

    I love and miss you so much and we are doing the best we can to make everyone happy exspecially you I miss you so much I have been wrapped up in making sure things go well and trying to retrieve your belongings that I think I’m pushing off the hard truth that your gone and I’m so sorry I dint come see you a couple weeks ago I wish with all I have I could take it back and would have just left and spent one last weekend with you I can’t imagine not talking to you any more and just weighting this my heart feels like thousand needles stabbing and gets over whelming scared for the moment when reality sinks in. I’ll make sure everything you told me you want done happens I promise you deserve that I love you so much and miss you ten times more. Hope I see you soon

    Life has forever changed. We became so close in such a short time. You will walk with us through the rest of our lives in our memories . Recalling things you would say, remembering the stories you told . It is an honor to say that you were our friend and more like family. I will miss the sound of your drum the spund of your voice singing. Animal oakgrove gone but never forgotten watch over us from above beautiful friend.
