Garry A. Tracy, 69, lifelong resident of Forbes, passed away Friday, November 30, 2018 peacefully in his home. A funeral service will be held Friday December 7, 2018 at Range Funeral Home at 1:00 pm with visitation beginning one-hour prior. Pastor Mark Mathes will officiate. Burial will take place at Forbes Cemetery. Military Honors will be accorded by the Virginia Honor Guard. Arrangements are with Range Funeral Home in Virginia. Garry Allen Tracy was born September 24, 1949 in Grand Rapids to George and Virginia (Cheney) Tracy. After graduating from Grand Rapids High School, he went into the service during the Vietnam War. After returning home, he started a career at Minntac working 32 years as a track gang. After retiring, he began work as a janitor at United Taconite. After meeting the love of his life, Mary, they married on March 7, 1981. They began their family, having 7 children, raising them in Forbes.
Garry enjoyed watching his westerns and summer activities, buying and being a proud owner of his new GMC Acadia. He loved fishing, deer hunting, working on projects, and spending time with his family.
Being a loving and caring father, he loved watching his children and grandchildren grow.
He will be always remembered by his generosity and goofy personality.
He is survived by children, Michael Tracy (Mary) , Lisa Tracy (Sean Peterson), Tammy (Rudy) Rajkovich, Shane (Jolee) Tracy, Shaun (Jessica) Tracy, Eric (Kaitlyn)Tracy; grandchildren, Steven, Kristina, Kaylee, Makayla, Kaitlynn, Kristen, Paisley, Shainah and Karisa; former wife, Mary Tracy; siblings, Betty Ann, Donald, Lynn, Kevin, Bill, Wendy and Carolyn; special friends; Lillian and Taylor Delph, Ronald and Ruth Ryberg and Shannon Booth; best friend, Rudy Rajkovich.
He was preceded in death by parents; children Mark Tracy, Tina Tracy and Doreen Gorsuch; brother; Wendall; sister; Linda.
