Diane was born to Lyle and Greta Pittman in 1954 in Mora, MN. She was raised most of her life on the beautiful Iron Range as most call it. Diane received her high school diploma at Wayne School in Chicago, Illinois in February of 1975. She proceeded to work hard for a degree in small business at VoTec. Diane worked a variety of odds and ends jobs from Jubilee grocery store to Sabin’s off-sale both located in Chisholm, MN. In August 1985 Diane married Bruce Buck and together they raised 4 children Dana, Tracy, Shawn, and Cora.

Diane appreciated and adored her children and the smaller things in life. She loved being outside during the summer, and playing with her children. Holidays were always her favorite because that’s when all distant family came together. Diane was a social butterfly, she could literally stop someone on the street and talk with them for hours. She enjoyed traveling to her mother Greta’s home with all her children to visit and talk over coffee. Diane had a very strong love for all her children. Diane would jokingly express that she was going to float away from sipping so much coffee. Some evenings, Diane would head off to bingo which she enjoyed. For some reason she always had good luck. Diane was also in several cribbage tournaments and had a love for card games. Diane enjoyed her hobbies including the love for her animals. She always seemed to add another pet to her home whenever she went out and about on her own. Diane also had a joy for music, the radio station 106.3 was always playing the oldies station. Music was Diane’s medicine.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce Buck of Hibbing; three children Dana (Paul) Robotnik of St. Paul, Shawn (Christina) McHenry of Shoreview and Cora (Cherisa Roalstad) Buck of Hibbing; 4 grandchildren, Sarah Robotnik, Heidi Robotnik, Malachi Goerdt and Ezekiel Goerdt; two brothers, Ronald (Peggy)Pittman of Mt. Iron, MN and Daniel (Betty) Pittman of Iron, MN; two sisters, Darlene Orehek of Eden Prairie and Debra Johnson of Eden Prairie.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Greta and Lyle Pittman; her brother, Douglas Pittman; and nieces, Tanya and Lisa Pittman.
