Marianne married Harry Joseph Digerness April 14, 1956 and was widowed in 1997. Marianne and Harry had no children but were involved in the lives of their nieces and nephews. Marianne resided in Calumet, Duluth, Aurora, Markham, Virginia, rural Eveleth, and rural Bovey. She enjoyed knitting and made countless sweaters, afghans, mittens and socks. She was a Trustee, Deacon, Sunday School teacher and choir member of the Eveleth and Virginia Presbyterian churches. She was a member of Community Presbyterian Church, Grand Rapids, MN. She enjoyed traveling and visited over 40 foreign countries. She was not an ardent baseball fan, but was honored to chauffeur Joe DiMaggio to The Dow Chemical office in Biwabik.

Preceded in death by her parents, husbands Harry J. Digerness and Peter E. Loscheider, and brother William L. Raihala.
