In 1911, Ala Funeral Home and Furniture was started on 2nd Ave. in Virginia, MN. It operated until it was purchased by Cooperative Federated Mortuary in September of 1937 and ran out of the same 2nd Ave. location until 1960, where it opened at its new location 911 16th St. N. in Virginia, MN and renamed Range Funeral Home. It has operated out of this same location for 57 years and has served for generations for families living here on the Iron Range.
