We will definitely miss those calls from dear Randy, as he would call very regularly. May you dear ones to him be comforted that he left a nice impression and always wanted to know how he could hear the sermon of God’s Word on line.

I knew Randy from school and we were Facebook friends for the past few years. I periodically received messages from him when the weather was extreme. Hot enough for you? Cold enough for you etc. It was his way of starting a conversation and we’d chat about farming, family and of course the weather. From now on, every very time we have extreme weather I will think of him popping in to say hello. He was a nice guy.

My prayers go out to all Randy’s family and friends during this sad time. I have not seen Randy in many years but spent my early childhood with him and his brothers and sisters on their farm. He will be greatly missed.

R.I.P Randy and Roger’s and my prayers to all of his family. Randy held a very special place in my heart. I only knew him probably the last ten years which is strange as three of his aunts were married to three of my uncles. He always was able to put a smile on my face, or had me laughing and even screaming when he knew my sciatica was bothering me and he would have me put my feet up and rub them, though sometimes with too much pressure. . He definitely knew what parts of the foot to massage. We had fun going fishing, out to dinner, sitting by the bonfire, the three of us baking cookies, me making the dough and Roger and Randy baking them. He would bring us often his baked banana bread with, of course, chocolate chips in the bread. Then, the last year he joined a group of us to play Texas Holdem, which at first I don’t think he really enjoyed but later seemed to enjoy it, or maybe it was the food we took turns in preparing. There were times him and I would go at it, especially if he was in one of his pouty moods, but I would just wait and after a week or so, here came Randy. He was a very very special guy and definitely lived in a world of pain. He no longer is in pain for which we have to be thankful for and has been able to join his Mom and Dad and even my Mom who he enjoyed going to visit. Will always miss you, we both lost a very special friend. Ellen and Roger Ricke.

You’re in our prayers. Randy meant a lot and asked for so little. He had health issues and kept plugging along. Fun friend to visit. He razzed pretty well! We will miss you, Randy. A very sad thing for us to hear, except that his trials of health and even being isolated, bringing maybe some loneliness and trials of faith are now over. 💜

I forgot to add “with love from Jonathan, Kathi, Abby, Erin, Zeke, Lauren and Rogan Aho PS, he came over once to adopt our Charlie cat to take with him. He told us he got home, took the cat out of the crate, snapped a picture and that’s the last time he saw the cat!!! Felt bad about that. But anyway, he very obviously loved his nieces and nephews, and talked about them often. I’ll miss getting his messages when he saw me on FB. “Hey, y’old lady, up past yer bedtime!” 💜

Randy was one of my favorite “regulars” at L&M, he was always great to deal with, and I always enjoyed my time with him as a customer in the shop, or needing help with Auto stuff. I was sad to see he has passed, but I am grateful to know he is no longer fighting pain and health issues. I’ll miss yah coming in Randy, you were always a good guy to me, and I was always happy to see you!
